Saturn V, the rocket that sent every Apollo crew to the Moon, from Apollo 8 in 1968 to Apollo 17 in 1972, and launched Skylab.
Saturn V flew thirteen times and never lost a crew or a payload. It sent nine crews to the Moon, from Apollo 8’s first trip around it in December 1968 to Apollo 17 in 1972, six of which landed, and on its last flight, in 1973, it launched Skylab, America’s first space station.
At 110 metres, it’s still one of the tallest rockets ever flown. Part of a set of eighteen rocket illustrations commissioned for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center at the California Science Center.
