Terran 1, the 3D-printed rocket from Relativity Space, whose only launch in March 2023 reached space but not orbit.
Terran 1 was built by Relativity Space with most of its structure and all of its engines 3D-printed. It flew once, from Cape Canaveral in March 2023: the first stage worked and the rocket reached space, but the second stage didn’t reach orbit. Relativity then retired it to build the larger Terran R. This illustration was first made for a commission from the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center in Los Angeles.
