A print of my sister’s original acrylic painting of Sir Gawain, painted after we watched The Green Knight together. I sell it here because she asked me to.
This one isn’t mine. It’s an original acrylic-on-canvas painting by my sister. We watched The Green Knight together, and not long after, she sat down and painted Sir Gawain, unprompted. I’m selling prints of it because she asked me to.
Gawain is King Arthur’s nephew, and in the fourteenth-century poem the film is based on, he accepts a challenge from a giant green knight and spends a year keeping his word. If you haven’t seen The Green Knight, it’s a genuinely great film: a slow burn, best watched without reading anything about it first.
