Energiya, the Soviet super-heavy rocket that flew twice: once with the Polyus weapons test platform, once with the Buran shuttle.
Energiya flew only two times. In 1987 it launched Polyus, a military test platform that didn’t reach orbit because of a fault in its own guidance. In 1988 it launched the Buran shuttle on its only flight, two orbits with no one aboard and an automatic landing back at Baikonur.
Unlike the American shuttle, the main engines were on the rocket, not the orbiter, so Energiya could carry other heavy loads too.
